How DID I Create and Publish a Graph? Nader makarious

Click
on program > Microsoft > Open Excel
·
Type
data into appropriate columns like use A for volume and B for temp.
·
Select
data and highlight the area from the appropriate columns
·
Click
icon on the top that shows (Chart
Wizard) then choose appropriate type of graph in this exercise I used (Scatter) with data points connected by smooth
lines

Chart
Options
Fill out title and labels for x and y axial. EX volume on X and temp. on Y
Axial then click next.
The completed Graph will now appear and
I can rename it by double click where
it says chart 1 and put a new title there.

Save
the Excel file.
·
Select
the Chart by clicking outside the graph, Click File < Save As
·
Change
file type to “Webpage”
·
Select
button for Selection: Chart.
·
Write
the correct file name.html
·
Open
Mozilla
·
Open
Personal webpage: www.sas.upenn.edu/~nader
·
Choose
Chem502, File < Edit Page
·
Create
a link name, say Fractional Distillation Graph
·
Highlight
the link name, Insert < Link
·
Find
the html file that was saved, Fractional.html and hit OK
·
Open
FileZilla or dream-weaver then transfer local.html
file (Fractional.html) to the html folder on the remote site (on dream-weaver
click on the arrow up there to upload file).

There
will also be a File folder, Fractional Files.
Transfer this folder to the remote site, html folder.
·
When
all transfers are complete, highlight new additions, right click File Attributes
and make the upside down U so that it shows up on the webpage or go to CRT and
connect using my user name and password> accept once> type UNIX>
permissions, close and accept to disconnect.
